TVS Apache RTR 4V Black Edition
The latest Black variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V has been introduced in India by TVS Motor Company. This is a cosmetically distinct, mechanically identical variant of the ordinary RTR 160 4V, priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new model, as the name implies, has a stealthy visual appeal because it sticks to an all-black concept for both its bodywork and cycle elements. With the exception of the black TVS emblem engraved on the tank and the stickers for “Apache” and “RTR 160 4V” on the side panels and tail, respectively, it has a sleek appearance. With the exception of these cosmetic adjustments, the Apache RTR 160 4V Black edition is still the most economical version of the bike, lacking Bluetooth connectivity and a rear disc brake.
With three riding modes, an LED headlamp and tail lights, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity (for some models), and Glide Through Technology (GTT), it is among the most feature-rich models in its class. The bike is powered by a 159.7cc oil-cooled engine with 14.73Nm and 17.31bhp, coupled to a five-speed transmission. With a kerb weight of 144 kg and a 12-liter fuel tank, the motorbike is rather light.
TVS Apache RTR 2V Black Edition
A new Black Edition version of the Apache RTR 160 has been introduced by TVS. The bike has a completely new paint job with black paint applied to every part of the bodywork. This enhances the Apache RTR 160's sleek design and gives it a more covert appearance.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Black Edition shares the same overall design as the normal bike, save from a different paint job. It features a strong fuel tank, a single seat with red stitching that contrasts, and a split seat in addition to the same chiselled LED headlight.
The same 159.7cc single-cylinder engine powers the all-new Apache Black Edition. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox and produces 15.82 horsepower and 13.85 Nm. The TVS SmartXonnect voice assistance and three ride modes (Rain, Urban, and Sport) are features of the Apache RTR 160 2V. In addition, the bike has a front disc and a rear drum brake system.

It is equipped with two gas-charged rear shocks and standard telescopic front forks. The brake components are installed on 17-inch wheels with tyres measuring 90/90 on the front and 110/80-17 on the back. The rear disc brake type, however, comes with a 120/70 rear tyre. Furthermore, the regular bike’s rear disc brake type is the only one with Bluetooth connectivity. Thus, the Black edition ought presumably do the same.
Conclusion:
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and 2V Black Edition brings a fresh, stylish aesthetic to the 160cc segment. While the Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition is priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh and maintains its mechanical integrity with a visually striking all-black design, the RTR 160 2V Black Edition, available at Rs. 1.20 lakh, also sports a sleek new look with additional features like TVS SmartXonnect and three riding modes. These new editions offer a compelling blend of style and performance, making them strong contenders in their segment against rivals such as the Hero Xtreme 160R and Bajaj Pulsar models.
